Below are some of my design projects. The sites are all simple, cleanly coded and work. I design my sites to be as easy to use as possible, whilst providing complex features.
A screenshot of each page is shown, along with a link to the coding section to see what elements the site uses.
Eygthene24
The Eygthene is a 24ft yacht designed by Ron Holland in 1973. The site was created for owners of the boat to share knowledge and information.
The main pages of the site pages to be edited by all members of the forum using a WYSIWYG editor, with custom filters to prevent malicious code being added to the site.

A couple of my friends wanted to sail around the UK for charity. They needed a website that reflected the charities branding but also their vibrant and dynamic selves. The website allowed them to keep people updated about progress throughout the trip.
The site had to undateable via mobile and email, due to the restrictions of being aboard a boat for 10 weeks. For this I developed several scripts that created posts from a Twitter feed.
To give users a real sense of the girls progress I also wrote a script that looked for keywords within a post to creat a track on a Google maps popup.

Recognising the popularity of sites like Facebook it was decided that it was important to give Facebook users an easy way to keep in touch and to contribute to the charity sail, to encourage donations.
The app replicates what is on the blog and allows Facebook users to add comments from within Facebook.

One of my earliest sites, this site is almost entirely made up from images designed to match the Summer Cruise's styling and logos.
It was made before social networking became popular, and contacting people en-mass became easier, so it it is currently little used but was fun to make.
